1-Getting Started
-----------------

Welcome to Graph-It 2000. This program makes graphing functions on the
TI-83 a bit more easier, with added functionality like scrolling,
more calculations, and an easy to use graphing interface.

After loading Graph-It 2K through your TI-Graph Link (See Graph Link
instructions for sending programs) and executing the program,
you will be presented with the main screen. To start a new graph,
choose New(1). Key presses are enclosed in parentheses. To use a
current graph, choose Current(2). To exit, press the (X,T,Theta,n)
button. This button can be pressed at anytime throughout the program
to exit it.

Choose New. It will now say "Clear all old?" Select "YES", or (1), to
delete all current functions in the Y= editor, otherwise choose "NO".
Input the Number of equtions you have. Input at which Y= you would like
to start, Y1,Y2,Y3, etc. Usually you would want to start with Y1,
unless there is currently an equation stored there you would like to
keep. Keep in mind that all calculations can only be preformed on Y1.
Type in the equation. Hit enter and the graph will be drawn.

2-The File Menu
---------------
Press (1) to access the File menu. A list of choices will be displayed
on the screen.

New-Let's you create a new graph. Same as choosing "New" on the main
screen.

Open-If you have a Graph saved, this opens it, overwriting and deleting
the current one.

Save-Save the current graph for later use.

Delete Saved-Delete the saved graph from memory. A saved graph is
stored in the GDB1 variable. (Graph DataBase 1).

Receive Graph-Gets a graph on another TI-83 calculator linked together
with yours. Graph on the linked calculator MUST be stored under GDB1.
The other calculator does not need Graph-It 2000, as long GDB1 exists
on that calculator. GDB1 on your calculator will be overwritten.

About-Shows program information, including version number.

Exit-Exits the program and returns you to the Home Screen.

Press (0) to back out of ANY menu.

3-The Edit Menu
---------------
Press (2) to access the Edit menu. A list of choices will be displayed
on the screen.

Properties-Change the current Properties.
1-Scroll Factor: The amount by which the program scrolls when you use
the arrow keys. Use a large number for graphs with large windows.
2-Default Scroll: The default scroll factor is 5 and that can be
changed. The default is set whenever a new graph is created.
3-Start With: You may have Graph-IT 2000 start new graph sessions with
a ZoomFit or a ZoomStandard. ZoomFit will try to fit the window around
the graph.
4-Zoom Factor: The higher the number, the more it will zoom when you
zoom in or out.
5-Graphing Mode...: This can be either Sequential or Simultaneous.
Sequential graphs each function one at a time, while Simultaneous
graphs each function all at the same time.
6-Back: return to graph screen.

GraphStyle-Change the style of the lines of the Graphs, and for which
Y=.

PlotWizard...-Starts the PlotWizard, detailed later.

Press (0) to back out of ANY menu.

4-The Calulate Menu
-------------------
Press (3) to access the Calculate menu. A list of choices will be displayed
on the screen.

Value-Finds the Y value at a corresponding X value on Y1.

Slope-Finds the slope on Y1 between X1 and X2.

Derivative-Finds the derivative on Y1 for a given value of X.

Intergrate-Finds the integral on Y1 for a given range X1-X2.

Area Between (Y1,Y2)-Finds the area between Y1 and Y2, given range
X1-X2, and which funtion is the Higher.

Press (0) to back out of ANY menu.

5-Window, Zoom, Trace, Graph, 2nd Buttons
------------------------------------
The (Window) key will allow you to change the window size.
The (Zoom) key will display the Zoom Menu onscreen.
The (Trace) key functions as normal, letting you trace the graph.
The (Graph) key quits the program but remains on the graph screen,
unlike Exit.
The (2nd) key toggles the Menu on and off. (MON,MOFF).

6-The Plot Wizard
-----------------
Use the Plot Wizard to easily graph a stat plot. Choose Edit(2) and
PlotWizard(3).

Choose your plot type first. Scatter, xyLine, Histogram, or BoxPlot.

Input your data points as promted on the screen. If you chose plot
type 3 or 4, you will input only 1 set of data, otherwise 2.
When inputing points (plot type 1 and 2), input all X's first in XList
followed by all Y's in YList.

The Plot Wizard used L1 and L2(if necessary) under Plot1. Make sure
that XList under Plot1 is set to L1 and that YList uner Plot 1 is set
to L2. These are both defaults of the calculator.

7-Storage Info
--------------
Graph-It 2000 uses LGRPH. If you delete this list, you must select
"New" on the title screen in order for the program to function again.

Saved graphs are saved in Graph DataBase variable GDB1.
All appropriate Y= variables are used and manipulated through Graph-It
2000.

The Plot Wizard used L1 and L2(if necessary) under Plot1. Make sure
that XList under Plot1 is set to L1 and that YList uner Plot 1 is set
to L2. These are both defaults of the calculator.
